Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive

Assistant Accountant

with hands-on experience in

QuickBooks

or any major

ERP accounting software

to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting financial reporting and compliance in a fast-paced

building maintenance environment

.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in maintaining accurate financial records using

QuickBooks

or ERP system. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely manner. Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes. Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow. Prepare and post journal entries. Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules. Assist in payroll preparation and related accounting entries. Generate regular financial reports for internal and external use. Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Maintain organized documentation and filing of accounting records. Collaborate with vendors and clients regarding invoice and payment queries.

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

0-3 years

of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the

construction or maintenance

industry. Proficiency in

QuickBooks

or similar ERP accounting software Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a

Building Maintenance, Facilities Management, or Construction

company. Familiarity with tax filings, VAT, and local compliance requirements. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
