Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Accountant

to join our finance team, preferably with a strong background in the

hospitality and restaurant industry in the UAE

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting tasks while ensuring

compliance with audit requirements, VAT regulations, and other local tax laws

.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations. Ensure timely submission of VAT returns and compliance with UAE tax laws, including ESR and Corporate Tax (if applicable). Coordinate with external auditors during interim and annual audits; ensure timely preparation of audit schedules and financial statements. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Monitor and manage cash flow, petty cash, and banking activities. Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records in line with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Reconcile inventory and cost of goods sold in coordination with the operations team and ensure proper posting of sales and expenses. Prepare supporting documentation for tax filings, audits, and financial analysis as needed. Support the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and processes. Liaise with regulatory bodies, auditors, and tax consultants on behalf of the company.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are an advantage. Minimum of

3-5 years of accounting experience

in the

UAE

, preferably within the

hospitality or restaurant sector

. Solid knowledge of

UAE tax regulations

, including

VAT

and

Corporate Tax

compliance. Experience handling

internal and external audits

. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
