Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced
Accountant
to join our engineering consulting firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance department with timely reporting and compliance.Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting transactions including invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Reconcile bank statements and monitor company cash flow. Maintain proper documentation of all financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations. Coordinate with project managers and departments for cost tracking and budget monitoring. Handle accounts payable and receivable, follow up on outstanding payments. Assist with VAT filing and other statutory requirements. Liaise with external auditors and support audit processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of
3 years of accounting experience
, preferably in an engineering or consulting firm. Proficient in accounting software such asTally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems
. Strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations (or local tax laws, depending on country). Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
