Job Description

Job Summary: The Accountant in a Cleaning Company is responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the organization. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, conducting financial analysis, and providing decision support to the management team. The Accountant collaborates with cross-functional teams, processes payroll, manages employee benefits, and plays a crucial role in supporting the company's financial well-being.

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Record-Keeping:Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
Ensure proper documentation and organization of financial transactions.
Verify and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Financial Reporting:Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Analyze financial data to provide insights on the company's financial performance.
Generate reports summarizing financial activities, budget variances, and profitability analysis.

Budgeting and Forecasting:Collaborate with the management team to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and provide explanations for variances.
Identify areas for cost optimization and recommend measures to improve financial efficiency.

Compliance and Audit:Ensure compliance with accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
Coordinate with external auditors for annual financial audits and provide necessary documentation.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud.

Financial Analysis and Decision Support:Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, such as pricing strategies and cost control measures.
Identify key financial indicators, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with the management team to evaluate the financial feasibility of new initiatives and investments.

Payroll and Benefits Administration:Process payroll accurately and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Manage employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave accruals.
Ensure timely remittance of payroll taxes and other payroll-related obligations.

Team Collaboration:Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Operations and Human Resources, to gather and analyze financial data.
Provide financial guidance and support to non-financial staff, helping them understand financial concepts and reports.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, internal and external, to address financial inquiries and provide assistance.

Qualifications and Skills:

Tally software Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred. Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar financial role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel for financial analysis. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
