Job Description

The organization is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially astute Accountant to join the finance team. The role will be responsible for end-to-end accounting activities up to general ledger level, with a strong emphasis on reconciliations, compliance, and month-end close. The successful candidate will contribute to the integrity of financial reporting, support management decision-making, and ensure compliance with local regulatory and tax requirements.

Key Responsibilities:



Financial Accounting & Month-End



Perform accounting up to General Ledger (GL) level. Prepare and post monthly journals in accordance with IFRS and internal policies. Execute daily bank and cash-up reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies Maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) in line with approved SOPs. Manage credit card reconciliations and ensure adherence to company policies. Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.

Debtors, Creditors & Cash Management



Debtors' administration including invoice issuance, account reconciliations, collections, and dispute resolution. Creditors administration including invoice capturing, supplier reconciliations, and preparation of payment schedules. Ensure accurate master data maintenance for suppliers, customers, and GL accounts. Monitor cash flow movements and support cash management processes.

Stock & Cost Control



Manage stock administration including invoice capturing and monthly stock take. Support inventory reconciliations and investigate stock variances.

Compliance & Audit



Ensure compliance with Qatar tax and VAT regulations, including filings, documentation, and audit readiness. Support internal and external audit processes, including preparation of audit files and responding to audit queries. Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOPs, and local financial regulations. Evaluate costs related to procurement and operations.

Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement



Compile and analyse financial data using advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, lookups, data compilation).

Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and management information as required.

Support ERP systems (Business Central / D365 and Oracle), including reconciliations, testing, and data integrity.

Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in accounting Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS preferred) Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, lookups, financial analysis). Solid understanding of Qatar tax and VAT compliance requirements. Experience with ERP systems (Business Central / D365 and Oracle preferred). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet strict reporting deadlines. Exposure to cost accounting and inventory management. Good communication and interpersonal skills. F&B industry experience advantageous.

Valid QID and NOC (for candidates currently in Qatar).
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR5,000.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month
