Position Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing all financial transactions, preparing accurate financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and supporting budgeting and auditing processes.

Key Responsibilities

Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Handle accounts payable and receivable processes. Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow. Ensure compliance with tax and financial regulations (e.g., Dhareeba filing in Qatar). Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting. Monitor and analyze financial performance and highlight variances. Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation. Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules. Manage payroll accounting and related reconciliations. Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding billing and payments. Recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certification preferred (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent). 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or ERP systems). Advanced MS Excel and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.

Preferred Experience

Experience in F&B, retail, or hospitality industries. Familiarity with Qatar tax laws and Dhareeba system. Experience preparing management reports for decision-making.
