Maintain and manage core accounting functions, including bookkeeping, journal entries, and ledger maintenance.
Possess working knowledge of
banking operations in the UAE
, including:
Letters of Credit (LC)
Trust Receipts (TR)
Cheque Discounting
Invoice Discounting
Calculate and account for
accrued interest
on banking facilities accurately.
Perform
bank reconciliations
and
group/intercompany reconciliations
on a regular basis.
Handle routine and follow-up
communication with banks
, including documentation and confirmations.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities by passing
closing entries
under the supervision of the manager.
Demonstrate
strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
, including data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable regulations.
Be flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as required to support the finance team.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of core accounting principles.
Basic knowledge of UAE banking facilities and financial instruments.
Good analytical and reconciliation skills.
Ability to communicate professionally with banks and internal stakeholders.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and time management skills.
