Accountant
to manage our financial operations, supplier records, and inventory costing with precision and professionalism.
Job Summary
The Accountant will oversee all day-to-day financial transactions, manage supplier vouchers, track product costs, handle petty cash, and ensure all records comply with UAE accounting and VAT standards. This role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and a good understanding of bakery or F&B operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate bookkeeping, journal entries, and daily accounting records.
Record supplier invoices, vouchers, and purchase entries (including chiller/freezer stock).
Track product cost, ingredient usage, and stock movement.
Prepare monthly profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and reports for management.
Reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and supplier balances.
Manage accounts receivable/payable and ensure timely payments.
Prepare VAT reports and ensure compliance with UAE regulations.
Assist in budgeting, expense control, and cost optimization.
Coordinate with the manager on financial planning and cash flow.
Maintain organized digital and physical records for all accounting documents.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2-4 years of accounting experience (preferably in bakery, cafe, or F&B industry).
Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or Zoho Books).
Strong knowledge of UAE VAT filing and compliance.
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in food inventory costing and supplier reconciliation.
Familiarity with expiration tracking and temperature-based stock management.
Arabic communication skills are a plus.
