Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced

Accountant

to manage both

Accounts Receivable

and

Accounts Payable

functions for our operations in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will ensure financial accuracy, compliance with local regulations (FTA), and timely financial reporting. Prior experience in the

Oil & Gas

or construction sector is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable:

Issue

tax invoices and credit notes

to customers in compliance with FTA regulations Record and allocate incoming payments accurately and promptly Reconcile

customer accounts

, resolve discrepancies, and ensure account clarity Monitor and process

customer refunds

in line with internal policies Review

client contracts

to ensure accurate billing and reporting Ensure all

cheques

are properly recorded and deposited in a timely manner Prepare and distribute

receivables reports

regularly Support

cash flow

initiatives by ensuring timely collections Identify opportunities to enhance

revenue recognition

and minimize losses

Accounts Payable:

Validate incoming invoices and ensure

compliance

with FTA and company policies Perform

3-way matching

for PO-based invoices Record and manage

subcontractor payments

,

advance recoveries

, and

retentions

Book

non-PO expenses

,

utility bills

, and

petty cash transactions

Process

outgoing payments

, ensuring all approvals are secured Classify and post

AP transactions

accurately into the system Reconcile

vendor accounts

and clear outstanding balances

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Certifications (Preferred):

CA, CPA, CMA, or ACCA

Experience:

Minimum

4 years

of relevant accounting experience

Languages:

Fluency in

English

is essential;

Arabic

is a plus

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in

Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Hands-on experience with

ERP systems

(e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
