We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Accountant
to support our finance team.
Position Summary:
The Accountant will handle day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have previous accounting experience in the
construction or contracting sector
in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
Prepare journal entries, ledger postings, and trial balances.
Handle accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and follow-ups.
Reconcile bank statements and monitor company cash flow.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Support in preparing VAT filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax laws.
Assist with audits, documentation, and financial data entry.
Coordinate with project and procurement teams for cost allocation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of accounting experience
, preferably in the construction or contracting industry in the UAE.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP/IFRS).
Proficient in accounting software such as
Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems
.
Solid understanding of UAE VAT and compliance requirements.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
Good communication skills (English; Arabic is a plus).
