Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Accountant

to manage

costing

and

payroll

functions within our contracting company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project costs, preparing payroll, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with labor and tax laws. Experience in the construction or contracting industry is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Costing:

Track and analyze costs associated with construction projects (materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors). Prepare job cost reports and assist in budget forecasting. Monitor variances between estimated and actual costs and report discrepancies. Support project managers in budget planning and cost control. Maintain and reconcile project-related accounts. Allocate overhead costs appropriately to jobs/projects.

Payroll:

Process payroll for site and office employees in compliance with company policies and labor laws. Manage timesheets, attendance, and overtime calculations. Handle payroll deductions (loans, advances, tax, benefits). Prepare payroll reports and ensure timely disbursement of salaries. Coordinate with HR for new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation. File statutory returns and manage employee records.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction or contracting industry. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and payroll processing. Proficiency in accounting software. Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with payroll software. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Knowledge of local labor and tax regulations.

Female candidates preferred.

Accommodation in Shabiya or Mohammed Bin Zayed City is preferred.

Salary: AED 2,500.

Increment applicable after successful completion of the probation period.
