The Restaurant Accountant is responsible for managing the financial records of the restaurant, including daily sales reports, payroll, supplier invoices, and monthly financial statements. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Record and reconcile daily sales, expenses, and bank deposits.
Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
Monitor and process supplier invoices, payments, and staff payroll.
Maintain accurate financial records and assist with budgeting.
Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with external auditors and accountants as needed.
Monitor cash flow, inventory costs, and financial KPIs.
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in a similar accounting role (restaurant/hospitality preferred).
Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
Strong analytical and attention to detail skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
