Account Analyst

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial statements, account balances, and transactional data to identify discrepancies or trends.
- Reconcile accounts, prepare journal entries, and assist with month-end and year-end closings.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and reports.
- Maintain and improve accounting systems, procedures, and controls.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy in billing, collections, and expense tracking.
- Generate periodic financial reports and dashboards for management.
- Identify areas for process improvement and support implementation of best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 13 years of relevant experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
