Job Description

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure safe operation of the vessel and that it is operated and crewed according to both company and legal guidelines.
Investigate any damage to the vessel, personal injuries of crew and the environmental effects of the vessels.
Maintain all on-board equipment, including machinery, engines and safety equipment with regular inspection.
Adhere to any budgets and the purchasing and loading of fuel, supplies and equipment.
Steer and operate vessels using equipment such as radar, depth finders, radios, buoys, lights and lighthouses.
Dock and undock sailing vessels, sometimes navigating through tight spaces, such as locks.
Alter navigation plans based on weather conditions to keep vessels and passengers safe.
Records daily activities in yacht's log. REQUIREMENTS:

• STCW with 5 years validity from the date of issue
• VHF certificate with 5 years validity from the date of issue
• 200 GT course with 5 years validity from the date of issue
• Preferably with experience in Charter Company
• Previous working experience as Boat captain for 3-4 years
• Firm knowledge of marine craft signaling and navigation systems
• Ability to maintain a professional and well groomed appearance as per company standards
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Data-driven mindset
• Attested school certificate

Job Type: Full-time Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dubai Marina: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Boat Captain: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• STCW certificate (Required)
• VHF Radio Operator certificate (Required)
• 200 GT license (Required)
