We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Yacht Captain to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our luxury yacht. As the Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of passengers and crew, navigating the vessel, managing onboard operations, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will be the ultimate authority on board and will lead a team of professionals to maintain the highest standards of service and hospitality.

Responsibilities:

Yacht Operation and Navigation:

• Safely operate and navigate the yacht in compliance with international maritime regulations, local laws, and company policies.

• Conduct thorough pre-voyage inspections, assess weather conditions, and plan appropriate routes to ensure passenger safety and comfort.

• Supervise and participate in the operation of all onboard systems, including navigation, propulsion, electrical, and mechanical equipment.

Safety and Emergency Preparedness:

• Ensure the yacht is fully equipped with safety gear and emergency supplies, regularly inspected, and maintained in accordance with maritime regulations.

• Develop and enforce emergency procedures to address potential risks and provide comprehensive safety briefings to passengers and crew.

• Conduct regular safety drills and ensure all crew members are trained and knowledgeable in emergency response protocols.

Crew Management and Leadership:

• Lead and motivate a team of crew members, including deckhands, engineers, stewardesses, and other support staff.

• Provide clear direction, delegate tasks effectively, and oversee crew schedules to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.

• Foster a positive work environment, encourage professional growth, and address any performance or disciplinary issues as necessary.

Guest Services:

• Deliver exceptional customer service and create a memorable experience for all guests on board.

• Liaise with passengers to understand their preferences, ensure their comfort, and fulfill their requests to the best of your ability.

• Coordinate with the onboard chef and hospitality staff to plan and execute personalized dining experiences, entertainment, and activities.

Maintenance and Administration:

• Oversee regular maintenance, repairs, and inspections of the yacht, coordinating with engineers, technicians, and external contractors as needed.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, vessel logs, crew certifications, and other required documentation.

• Manage inventory of supplies, equipment, and spare parts, ensuring efficient use and timely replenishment.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Holds a valid Captain\'s license (e.g., Master Mariner or equivalent) issued by a recognized maritime authority.

• Extensive experience as a Yacht Captain, preferably on luxury yachts.

• In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations and safety standards.

• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to effectively lead a diverse team.

• Excellent navigation and seamanship skills, including proficiency in chart plotting and electronic navigation systems.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills, especially during challenging situations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, crew, and external contacts.

• Strong organizational and administrative skills to manage onboard operations and maintain required documentation.

• First Aid/CPR certification and proficiency in handling emergency situations at sea.

• Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).

• Willingness to work irregular hours and be on-call as required.

• 24-meter / 100 GRT and above valid license.

• STCW certificate must be valid.

• Between 3-5 years of UAE experience.

• License / Certificate must be endorsed by DMCA.
