The job holder will be working in an active and demanding environment, often having to work to strict deadlines/turnaround times whilst balancing a variety of tasks on a daily basis. Risk management is an integral part of the job with decisions needing to be made in a timely manner on a number of key areas in consultation with the Line Manager/Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing support and regularly communicating, both formally and informally, with Line Manager/Supervisor to ensure highest level of workshop operations are achieved and expectations are understood.
Assembling newly built or existing pressure control equipment (PCE), slickline tool components and thru tubing tools as well as Well testing equipment as per company's procedures and quality standards.
Servicing, repairing and planning certification renewal jobs for company-owned rental assets. Planning and carrying out all work required to keep these assets ready for next jobs.
Ensuring that equipment is redressed, repaired and maintained in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
Carrying out required equipment function tests.
Completing certification renewal jobs for customer-owned equipment, including strip down, assessment of required work and re-assembly.
Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy workshop.
Supporting the Operations Supervisor to ensure that all jobs meet the Sales and Work Orders expected completion dates.
Overseeing colleagues in the workshop to ensure standards and procedures are followed.
Qualifications/Skills and Experience:
Essential:
Relevant PCE and slickline tools experience
Certificate in industrial training or technical education
Highly proficient in spoken and written English
Full Driving Licence
Relevant experience in a workshop role in a PCE environment
Desirable:
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge and experience of an ERP system, ideally Microsoft D365
Supervisory experience
Personal Qualities:
Excellent communication (both written and oral), influencing and interpersonal skills
High degree of commercial acumen
Highly professional conduct
Must be willing to travel and able to spend time away from home
Ability to organise and prioritise tasks effectively
Attention to detail
