Job Description

We are looking for an estimator with extensive experience related to metal fabrication and machine shop works.

Skills/Qualifications:

Extensive metal fabricating blueprint reading and the ability to interpret and analyze specifications and tolerances. Attention to detail. Communication skills to interact with Customers, Suppliers, and co-workers. Knowledge of metal fabrication processes & machine shop basic operations.

Job Role:

Compute costs by identifying materials, purchased items, fabrication processes and time requirements. Work with Purchasing Department to solicit and collect material costs. Work with Engineering Department to identify optimal material utilization and fabrication methods. Work with Production Department to establish fabrication rates and options for fabrication methods. Maintain records and deadlines of RFQs. Solicit feedback from Production to improve estimating accuracy. Contribute to team effort by performing duties within the Estimating Department and other Departments, including Production, as needed.

Education:

Bachelor or Associate degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
