Job Description

Fugro is currently recruiting Facilities Assistants for the Jebel Ali (JAFZA) office who can provide support for daily operational activities, including the maintenance and cleanliness of the base yard facility. In addition, they will assist workshop staff in their duties. This position involves working as part of the Workshop team and reporting directly to both the Workshop Manager and the Facilities Manager.

Key Responsibilities would be as follows:

Performing daily tasks such as cleaning, sweeping, mopping, assisting with the scrap, and organizing the yard.

Carrying out packing and unpacking of goods, along with performing various semi-skilled tasks as instructed by the Workshop Manager and Workshop staff members.

Perform basic administrative tasks, such as record keeping, filing, and data entry.

Assist staff when approved by the Workshop Manager.

Ensure that Fugro policies and procedures are understood, implemented, and adhered to by all employees. Actively participate in adherence to and improvement of the company Management System on Quality and HSE-related issues.

Who we're looking for: A basic knowledge of the tools and equipment commonly used in workshops is desirable. While previous experience in a Workshop/Yard or a similar setting is preferred. Having a Pallet stacker and Forklift license would be beneficial but is not mandatory. The candidate should also be capable of lifting heavy objects when necessary.
