The Wet Utilities Section Manager will lead the operation and maintenance of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure for a prestigious client based in Northern Emirates. This senior-level, client-side position is responsible for ensuring reliable service delivery, regulatory compliance, and alignment with the department's strategic objectives, while optimising operational efficiency and resource utilisation.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation and maintenance of wet utilities systems to ensure continuous, high-quality service.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programmes to maximise system reliability.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise technical teams while enforcing strict safety and HSE standards.
• Monitor operational budgets, optimise resources, and deliver cost-effective performance.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Respond promptly to system emergencies, coordinating restoration and repair activities.
• Track, analyse, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and service metrics.
• Liaise effectively with contractors, consultants, government authorities, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations and timely approvals.

Qualifications & Experience
Minimum:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years' experience in wet utilities operations.

Preferred:

• At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, NEBOSH, or other relevant utilities/HSE qualifications.

Work Environment
This role is primarily office-based in the Northern Emirates, with regular on-site visits to infrastructure facilities and project locations. The position involves close coordination with public sector authorities, engineering consultants, and service contractors.
Salary / Benefits
40-45,000 AED per month + benefits
4 1/2 day working week with flex hours.
