Job Description

Element has an opportunity for a Welding Inspector who will be primarily responsible for managing welding inspection operations for various projects across the region. The role will also be responsible for efficient project management, team building and customer service.

Responsibilities

Inspect and test welded joints for welding procedure and performance qualifications as per international welding codes Verify alignment and dimensions of product and set up of machines and fixtures used for work in progress Monitor welders at work in the project sites recommending scrapping/re-work Record inspection data Analyse x-ray photographs of welding joints and review NDT reports Work efficiently with subcontractors and clients Skills / Qualifications

Engineering graduate Metallurgy/Mechanical PQR and WQT approvals Certification CSWIP 3.1 5 year inspection experience in a relevant work environment with last 2 years at a senior level Previous experience of building and leading teams Strong and determined quality focus with indefatigable determination to get the job done under the most challenging conditions Self-motivated team player with excellent organizational skills Possess exceptional communication skills Company Overview
