Welding Inspector
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Perform welding inspections according to project requirements and BV procedures.
Review and validate WPS, PQR, and Welder Qualification Records (WQRs).
Carry out visual inspections and coordinate NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT).
Ensure welding processes comply with ASME, AWS, API, or EN standards.
Prepare detailed inspection reports, NCRs, and other QA/QC documentation.
Liaise with clients and contractors to ensure quality expectations are met.
Attend site visits, kick-off meetings, and technical discussions when required.
Follow up on welding progress and report deviations or concerns.
Perform material receiving inspections to verify compliance with specifications, certificates, and traceability requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
Diploma or BSc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Valid CSWIP 3.1 or AWS-CWI certification is mandatory.
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in welding inspection, preferably with third-party or inspection bodies.
Strong understanding of international welding standards and codes (ASME, AWS, EN, API).
Proficiency in technical reporting and use of Microsoft Office.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good command of English (spoken and written).
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
