Experience : Between 07-10 Years Exposure : Having ample experience in Oil & Gas sector

: a) Responsible for the quality of all welding carried out by the CONTRACTOR and his sub-CONTRACTORs. b) Must have more than 10 years' experience in welding works in running Petrochemical or Power Generating industry. c) Must have 5 years' experience as a Welding Engineer. d) Educational qualifications: Must have bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgy or welding Engineering. e) Must have certified International Welding Engineer or technologist (IWE or IWT) as stated in ISO 14731. f) Can read, write and speak English language. (IELTS 7 equivalent) g) Familiar with different techniques such as GMAW, GTAW, SMAW at all positions flat, vertical or overhead on plates and pipes according to ASME IX, 1G, 2G, 3G and 6G h) Must be able to interpret content and validity of approved welding procedure specification. i) Familiar in use of oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting techniques. j) Must have experience in developing QA/QC and HSE compliance procedures and working instructions. k) Must have knowledge on selection of welding wires and filler materials applications for various steel alloys. l) Must be able to demonstrate experience in welding unalloyed, low alloyed and high alloyed steels. m) Must be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge in working with different Heat Treatment and Stress Relieving methods. n) Must be able to judge whether a proper weld preparation is made. o) Must be able to read / interprets mechanical isometric drawings including weld requirement symbols. p) Capable to develop welding procedure and procedure qualification for the different alloys as required by projects. q) Sound knowledge in the destructive testing and NDE. r) Capable of interpreting Inspection results and be able to propose solutions in short timeframe during TA events. s) Capable of proposing proven techniques that ensures Asset integrity while optimizes the time required for Field Welds.
