Job Responsibilities:
This role will lead the development of a robust prequalification framework informed by global benchmarks and emerging technologies in waste treatment and management. The expert will play a central role in strengthening regulatory foundations, providing technical input to policy development, and embedding sustainability principles into operational procedures. Through close collaboration with stakeholders, the expert will promote regulatory coherence, improve environmental performance, and introduce innovative, fit-for-purpose solutions that align with the emirate's long-term strategic goals. Given the critical nature of this function, advancing the recruitment process is strongly recommended. Key Responsibilities oLead the development and structuring of a comprehensive prequalification framework tailored to the waste management needs of Abu Dhabi Emirate. oProvide strategic support in designing projects and initiatives that align with best-in-class waste management practices. oDemonstrate advanced capability in analyzing global trends, technologies, and solutions in waste management to inform local strategies. oContribute to the development of codes of practice, technical guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure effective regulatory oversight. oEngage with stakeholders to refine regulations, resolve sector-specific challenges, and facilitate effective policy implementation. oConduct targeted research and impact assessments to integrate global best practices and enhance environmental performance across waste operations.
