Key Accountabilities:

• Provide the customer and internal sales department with competitive but profitable quotations & service contracts.
• Ensure that all service contact work is completed and invoiced promptly and correctly. Generate reports to show billing amounts, profitability, number of active contracts, number of forecasted service etc.
• Ensure that there are sufficient resources available to complete forecasted service contracts. Resources may include: manpower, vehicles, equipment, parts and lubricants.
• Initiate, control and manage delivery of new equipment. Ensure that all PDI jobs are completed on time and to the required quality. Checks and controls should be in place to ensure the machine is delivered to the correct specification. All system registrations should be completed and machine made available on Komtrax or similar systems to both GTHE and the customer.
• Provide assistance and technical support to the workshop team. This involves being the primary communication point with the principles. Providing two way communication you will manage communication with our supplier ensuring that a professional communication channel is maintained.
• Manage all warranty related work in a timely manner. Maximize warranty claims to generate revenue and initiate regular follow up to ensure prompt settlement.
• Manage all work related to warranty submission requirements. Collect information and materials in order to raise the technical documents required by the principle.
• Ensure compliance of the service depart code of conduct, ethics and productivity expectations. Monitor and react on non-compliance where required.
• Ensure a safe working environment and help establish and maintain a clear policy, system and procedure. Enforce health & safety compliance on a daily basis

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

• Qualifications: Advanced education or proven vocational experience. Competent written and spoken communication in English, Mathematics & Engineering.
• Experience: The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role with transferable related heavy construction equipment.
• Skills:
• Engineering - Advanced engineering skills related to heavy equipment.
• Communication - Advanced communication skills, advanced IT skills, cost control, people management.
• Operational management - Reporting, setting objectives, meeting target and goals.
• Team management - monitoring, mentoring, time management, motivation techniques.
• OEM - Knowledge of OEM expectations, communication methods and reporting
• Procurement: Knowledge of vendors and equipment required in the daily operation of the workshop.
