The Waiter in catering service is responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service during catered events. This includes setting up service areas, serving guests in a polite and efficient manner, and ensuring a positive dining experience that meets the company's quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up tables, dining areas, and buffet stations according to event specifications and company standards.
Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, courteous service throughout the event.
Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, following the proper sequence and etiquette.
Clear plates, glasses, and utensils efficiently to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
Respond to guest inquiries and requests politely and promptly.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the service area.
Collaborate with catering team members to ensure smooth service flow during events.
Handle any guest complaints or issues tactfully, escalating to supervisors when necessary.
Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations strictly.
Assist in the breakdown and cleanup of the catering setup post-event.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in food and beverage service, preferably in catering or hospitality.
Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays or plates safely.
Friendly, patient, and customer-focused attitude.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
