JOB PURPOSE:
  • The purpose of the role is to develop and facilitate Operational Risk strategy, framework and relevant methodologies across the FAB Group to enable managing Operational Risk exposure. The roles spans across FAB Group & Subsidiaries and International branches.
  • To maintain independency of risk in challenging the business on matters of divergent views.
Framework & Regulatory
  • Development of Operational Risk Strategy & Framework and Policies in compliance with best standards & practices for across FAB Group & subsidiaries incl. Int\'l branches.
  • Draft & develop Operational Risk methodologies & processes as part of OR tool kit - RCSA / KRI / Incident Management / ORAP / Risk Acceptance & other Operational Risk Reviews.
  • Undertake Capital computation for OR Risk Weighted Assets (OR RWA) in line with Basel business mapping.
  • Embed Digital Risk & Data Privacy management principles as part of OR framework best practices to enhance digital risk & data privacy evaluation.
  • Devise Operational Risk dashboard for management reviews and draw policy & root cause mitigation insights.
  • Develop OR regulatory reporting metrics and enable relevant systems for timely reporting.
  • Act as single point of contact representing 2LOD in internal & external audit engagements.
Functional Oversight
  • Facilitate functional clarifications and improve business lines OR responsibilities matrix.
  • Aid staff functional training awareness programmes across group businesses.
  • Analyze the Operational Risk trends to enable decisions for senior management.
  • Provide desired system config support and undertake OR system testing and deployment as per framework upgrades.
  • Participate in business functional projects to represent 2nd LoD as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Graduate / Post-graduate / Management diploma in Business management
  • Minimum 12 years of hands on banking experience across functions, and Op risk functional expertise
  • Proven experience in project handling and management with impeccable track record
  • Deep understanding of banking products and risks involved
  • Experience in developing and implementing Operational Risk Management framework and Internal Controls
  • Relevant industry body certifications in Operational Risk, Anti-Fraud, InfoSec or BCM preferred
  • Sound relationship management and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical capabilities & problem solving
  • Proactive self starter & pragmatic solution driven expertise
  • Team player & attention to detail /accuracy
