I am supporting one of my Qatar-based banking clients with their search for a new Head of Operational Risk. The successful candidate must be fluent in Arabic and will be tasked with leading the function while contributing to Business Continuity, IT/Cyber Security & Risk Strategy for the bank. It is also essential that applicants have International/Global Banking experience. Key elements of the role include:
- Strategic \xe2\x80\x93 Develop, maintain and continuously improve the banks Operational Risk strategy, frameworks & policies.
- Operational & Financial \xe2\x80\x93 Lead the development and oversee the implementation of Operational Risk policies, procedures & controls.
- Controls \xe2\x80\x93 Lead the development and implementation of RCSA, KRI & LDM policies and plans.
- Business Continuity Management \xe2\x80\x93 Support the development of appropriate BCM plan, Data Management & Disaster Recovery Planning.
- Stakeholder Management \xe2\x80\x93 Build and maintain strong working relationships with department heads and other senior stakeholders.
- People Management \xe2\x80\x93 Provide strong effective and efficient leadership for the Operational Risk department.
