Role purpose and summary

The Digital & Data Coordinator Middle East will support the deployment of Digital solutions in all verticals of the Near & Middle East business. As a member of the Digital & IT Transformation team, the Digital & Data Coordinator will help to define and implement the region's data management strategy, including data mining, data governance and the use of the Datadesk. They will also be the point of contact for data visualization, supporting the company's efforts to generate valuable and usable information from its data to help solve problems and gain new insights.

The Digital & Data Coordinator Middle East reports to the Head of Digital & IT Transformation Middle East, and works in close collaboration with regional teams and corporate headquarters. The role will be based full-time at the Near & Middle East regional head-office in Dubai, UAE.



Data Integration and Data Mining

Data collection from all relevant project/office sites, teams and departments

Combine datasets from multiple sources, ensuring data collected is clean, accurate and complete

Define and configure the data-flow between systems for effective data-mining and data security

Align data management methods and tools for regional consistency and towards industry best practice

Data Expert role in the coding and setup of Functional Objects (FO) setup in the Google Cloud Platform

Develop and Implement Digital & Data tools and solutions

Pitch and create business cases for Digital & Data tools and solutions

Ensure that the Digital & Data tools and solutions proposed are fit-for-purpose, cost-effective, and aligned with the IT & Digital Roadmap and the contractual needs of the relevant project

Define and develop the approved tools & solutions; coordinate the process up to implementation-readiness

Support the refinement of Hubgrade into a standardised package

Support the delivery of the Group Hubgrade project for Key Assets

Contribute to the definition and implementation of Data Governance strategy

Project Management of Roll-outs and Integrations

Coordinate the deployment of Digital & Data tools/solutions, including planning, monitoring and reporting

Work closely with external suppliers, functional consultants, internal IT teams on roll-outs and integrations

Ensure that Managed Interfaces are integrated effectively and efficiently

Support all Stakeholder management and change management activities, and all related communications

Drive the testing, configuration, troubleshooting and go-lives

Train key stakeholders in the use of the new tools and full understanding of related procedures

Lead, track and ensure completion of user training within agreed budgets and timeframes

Quality Management and Continuous Improvement

Monitor, track and report on the progress of all Digital & Data initiatives across the region

Contribute to Lessons-Learned registers, REX and experience-sharing within the organization

Review, update and contribute to the Digital & Data related sections of the QMS

Measure the value and benefits of Digital & Data related projects

Comply with cybersecurity rules and Safe AnyTime AnyWhere AnyDevice (SATAWAD) cybersecurity policy.

Comply with HSE rules and policies, ensuring the safety of oneself and other employees.

Strict compliance with Security policies and protocols when traveling to countries flagged at higher risk levels

Comply with Veolia Group's policies such as the Ethics guide, Code of conduct, Commitment to HSE, Charter to Sustainability and all Group Norms

Qualifications

Master's degree in IT or relevant engineering discipline

2+ years of related work experience in digital transformation schemes or database integrations

Experience with databases and programming; SQL coding experience an advantage

Advanced IT skills including database management, data modelling, relevant applications (ERP, CMMS etc)

Strong organizational and project-management skills, excellent time-management skills

Excellent written and spoken English

Meticulous, analytical, highly detail-oriented; conscientious and ethical in both process and delivery

Able to simplify and explain complex concepts, and to visually present them in engaging and effective ways

Good people-skills, able to establish rapport and good working relationships with remote teams

Confident, clear and effective communicator in multicultural environments

Service-oriented leadership style, achieving results through influence rather than authority
