This role offers exposure to clinical cases, surgical procedures, and preventive care, along with responsibility for the health and comfort of dogs and cats staying in our boarding and hotel facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Examine and assess the health of dogs and cats
Diagnose conditions and develop effectivemedical and surgical treatment plans
Perform soft tissue and specialized surgeries, including spaying, neutering, dental, ophthalmic, and orthopedic procedures
Manage wounds, fractures, and emergency cases
Conduct diagnostic testing (blood work, urinalysis, X-rays)
Administer vaccinations and medical treatments (injections, oral medications, IV therapy, blood transfusions)
Provide in-patient care, monitoring, and follow-up treatment
Carry out routine health checks for animals staying in boarding and hotel care
Advise pet owners on nutrition, preventive healthcare, de-worming, flea/tick control, and general care
Maintain high standards of hygiene and biosecurity
Ensure accurate medical documentation and reporting
Make ethical clinical decisions, including humane euthanasia when medically necessary
Support and guide veterinary nurses and trainees

Strong knowledge of small animal medicine and behavior

Qualifications & Licensing
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
from an accredited institution
Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine
required for candidates without a Qatar veterinary license
Minimum 3-5 years of experience
in small animal practice
Qatar veterinary license
or eligibility to obtain one
