We are currently looking for a candidate to take up an exciting role of Retail and Lifestyle Vertical Manager.

Reporting to the UAE Area Sales Manager, the role is expected to manage and develop the global/regional/local business relationships and performance including growing Share of Wallet for parts of the customer supply chain. Both from existing customers, organically and via acquisitions from the market.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Strategy and planning
  • Manage and develop the relationship with the sub-entity of the contractual customer in line with Maersk/global strategy
  • Develop local value proposition to be included on the global tender
  • Develop local business plan for increasing overall supply chain Share of Wallet and position Logistic & Services products
  • Grow local presence across products with the sub-entity of the customer through new opportunities–also through sub-suppliers.
  • Define the local value proposition and work closely with global/regional/local product organization to grow and deliver revenue growth supporting product P&L
  • Develop account business plans that encompass ocean as well as Logistic & Services products on global scale (where relevant)
  • Define the value proposition and work closely with product/solutions to build solutions supporting revenue growth across products (where relevant)
People Management
  • Proven track of leading a diverse team
  • Hands on internal team conflict resolution, stakeholder management and people processes
Responsible for Customer Satisfaction and Relationship
  • Deliver client profitability as per budget
  • Ensure successful business onboarding and contract compliance
  • Organize and connect the global Maersk team across functions, products, and area for overall customer experience (where relevant)

  • Position Maersk for access to the right stakeholders, influencers and decision makers throughout the customer organization (where relevant)
Who we are looking for:
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
  • Prior experience in Retail and Lifestyle verticals (minimum 5 years post qualification experience) within similar role in a local or multinational company
  • Logistics expertise
    Supply chain expertise (to optimize SOW across products), insight selling, connectors (stakeholder management, influencing skills)
  • High-level product understanding including how it solves different customer pains
  • Strategic influencing and stakeholder management
  • Strong People Management Skills (proven experience of leading teams)
  • Negotiation skills/procurement tactics
  • Strategic partnering, financial acumen, matrix management, value co-creator, presentation skills
  • Able to work with MS Office, some accounting understanding will be a plus
  • Should be forward thinking, planning and execution
  • Having an understanding and respect of others
  • Honest and accountable
  • Professional and dedicated
