JOB PURPOSE

The purpose of the UX Designer role is to create interactive designs that provide a seamless and engaging experience for our users. This involves conducting user research, developing wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating with developers to implement applications that meet university needs.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Develop user personas and user journey maps to enrich the proposed system designs. Create wireframes, storyboards, process flows and prototypes that illustrate design concepts. Develop high-level attractive designs and interactive prototypes using tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD and ensure designs align with the overall user experience strategy and UoS brand guidelines. Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, icons, posters and widgets. Work closely with developers, and other colleges and departments to understand system requirements to ensure the successful implementation of design solutions. Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to validate design decisions. Identify areas for improvement and analyze user feedback and activity to enhance the user experience. Stay updated with the latest UX design trends, tools, and best practices.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Practical experience in multimedia presentation, graphic design, interface design and information architecture Advanced experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience in maintaining website, applications and content management system based. Strong customer service skills and sound Inter-personal skills Excellent conceptual and analytical problem-solving abilities and solid written and verbal communication skills

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Multimedia Engineering, or related field. 4+ years of experience in UX UI Design.
Experience with front-end development and design
