Job Description

To fabricate and assemble HDPE and PVC plumbing components as per drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Work includes producing customized fittings, catch basins, gullies, traps, and other products to meet on-site requirements with precision and quality.

Fabrication & Assembly*

Fabricate HDPE & PVC fittings and assemblies including:
Elbows:11, 30, 45, 60, 90
Tees:90 Equal Tee, 90 Reduced Tee, 45 Fork Tee, Cross Tee
Reducers:Offset Reducers, Special Reducers
Puddle Flanges:With/without gritting, for PVC & PPR
Catch Basins, Gully Traps, Road Gullies, Dry Gullies, Ramp Trench Gullies*

Grease Traps:Type A, B, C, D
Sand/Silt Buckets, Soakaway Units*

Bell Mouths, Headers, Channel Gratings*

Long Radius Bends, Street Light Conduit Bends*

Special Items:Perforated Flanges, Test Pigs (Mandrels), Speed Breakers, Repair Couplers, Funnels, Custom Fabricated Fittings
Carry out butt fusion, electrofusion, socket fusion, and hot gas welding for HDPE & PVC pipes and PVC/ HDPE sheets.
Cut, shape, and prepare pipes and sheets for assembly with precision.
Quality Assurance

Ensure all joints and fabricated components are dimensionally accurate, leak-proof, and meet air/water-tightness test requirements.
Support quality team during pressure testing and inspections.
Technical Skills*

Read and interpret fabrication drawings, isometrics, and sketches.
Prepare cutting lists and ensure correct material usage.
Operate workshop equipment such as cutting machines, beveling tools, and butt fusion/electrofusion machines.
Safety & Housekeeping

Follow company HSE guidelines, wear PPE, and maintain a safe working environment.
Keep the fabrication area organized and free of hazards.
Coordination

Work closely with supervisors and production planners to meet delivery schedules.
Provide input on fabrication feasibility and suggest improvements.

Qualifications & Experience*

ITI/Diploma in Mechanical/Plumbing/Fabrication preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in HDPE/PVC fabrication for plumbing and drainage systems.
Overall 6 to 8 years experience preferred.
Skilled in butt fusion, electrofusion, socket welding, and hot gas welding.
Ability to read fabrication drawings and work independently.
Knowledge of QA/QC processes, dimensional checks, and leak/pressure testing.
