Job SummaryThe Upholsterer will be responsible for repairing and restoring furniture, as well as creating custom upholstery pieces. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of fabrics and materials, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities
Repair and restore furniture, including chairs, sofas, boat seats and other upholstered items
Create custom upholstery pieces including cushions
Install padding and springs to furniture frames
Create base panel for upholstery parts
Resets or replaces padding and cushion materials
Repairs materials or fabrics
To repair and refurbish upholstery and supporting materials of vinyl, fabrics and leather
Qualifications
Upholstery work experience at least 5years
Responsible for conducting initial inspections
Must be able to use all related tools and equipment effectively and safely
Must be proficient and able to upholster all types of upholstery to include lounge, task and desk with minimum training or assistance
Ability to read, understand, communicate, and interpret written and verbal instructions, work documentation, policies and practices, which are written in the English language
