Job Summary:

The Furniture Upholsterer is responsible for restoring, repairing, and creating furniture by applying fabric, leather, foam, padding, and other materials to enhance comfort, appearance, and durability. This role requires craftsmanship, attention to detail, and knowledge of various upholstery techniques to produce high-quality finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

Remove old fabric, padding, and upholstery materials from furniture pieces.

Repair or replace damaged or worn-out padding, springs, and frames as needed.

Cut and sew fabric, leather, or other materials to fit furniture pieces accurately.

Attach new upholstery materials securely using staples, tacks, glue, or sewing techniques.

Inspect finished furniture for quality, appearance, and durability.

Collaborate with clients, designers, or manufacturers to meet specific design requirements.

Maintain and clean tools and equipment used in upholstery work.

Follow safety procedures when working with tools, chemicals, and fabrics.

Keep detailed records of work performed, materials used, and project timelines.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in upholstery or furniture restoration.

Knowledge of different fabrics, leathers, padding, and finishing techniques.

Ability to work with hand tools, sewing machines, and upholstery equipment.

Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.

Ability to interpret design specifications and work independently or within a team.

Understanding of safety procedures related to tools and chemicals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
