Job Description

This is a unique opportunity to lead the financial strategy and operations of a newly established entity in Abu Dhabi. The Finance Director will play a pivotal role in building the financial infrastructure from the ground up, ensuring alignment with government standards and long-term organisational goals.

• Develop and implement the financial strategy for the entity, aligned with its mission and long-term goals.
• Establish and oversee financial systems, controls, and reporting structures from the ground up.
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi government regulations and financial governance standards.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders including government bodies, auditors, and financial institutions.
• Provide strategic financial insights to the executive team and board to support decision-making.
• Oversee treasury, risk management, procurement, and financial operations.
• Support the setup and operationalisation of the entity, including financial infrastructure and staffing.

• UAE National with Family Book
• Currently operating at Director level in a finance leadership role.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated experience working with Abu Dhabi government entities or within government-regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of UAE financial regulations, compliance, and reporting standards.
• Experience working with large, complex organisations, preferably in the public or semi-government sector.
• Prior involvement in entity or company setup, including financial systems and operational frameworks is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
