Job Summary:
A
Travel Ticketing Agent
assists customers with booking, modifying, and managing travel tickets, including flights, hotels, car rentals, and tour packages. They provide excellent customer service, process transactions, and ensure smooth travel arrangements while adhering to airline and travel industry regulations.
Assist customers in booking, canceling, or modifying airline tickets, hotel stays, and other travel services.
Provide accurate information on flight schedules, fares, seat availability, baggage policies, and promotions.
Process payments securely and issue tickets, e-tickets, or booking confirmations.
Upsell additional services (e.g., travel insurance, seat upgrades, hotel packages).
2. Customer Service & Support
Respond to inquiries via phone, email, chat, or in-person at a ticket counter.
Handle customer complaints, refunds, and rebooking requests professionally.
Assist travelers with special requests (e.g., wheelchair assistance, meal preferences, visa requirements).
Provide guidance on travel documentation (passports, visas, COVID-19 regulations).
3. Administrative & Compliance Duties
Verify passenger identification and travel documents (e.g., passports, visas).
Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and customer interactions.
Follow airline policies, IATA regulations, and company procedures.
Assist with check-in procedures and boarding passes when applicable.
4. Problem Resolution & Troubleshooting
Resolve booking errors, flight cancellations, delays, or overbooking issues.
Coordinate with airlines, hotels, and travel partners to find alternative solutions.
Handle emergency situations (e.g., missed flights, lost tickets, last-minute changes).
5. Technology & Systems Management
Operate ticketing software, payment systems, and office equipment (printers, scanners).
Stay updated on airline rules, fare structures, and industry trends.

Experience:
Previous experience in travel agencies, airlines, or customer service preferred.
