Job Description

Job Purpose:

To produce accurate and detailed 3D models, shop drawings, and fabrication details for steel structures using Tekla Structures software, ensuring compliance with design specifications, codes, and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare 3D models of structural steel components, assemblies, and connections using Tekla Structures. Review design drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate detailing. Ensure all detailing work complies with relevant standards, codes, and company procedures. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams to resolve design and detailing issues. Revise and update models/drawings based on client or consultant feedback and site requirements. Prepare material lists, bolt lists, cutting lists, and reports for procurement and production. Identify potential clashes, errors, or discrepancies in drawings and propose solutions. Maintain project documentation and ensure timely delivery of drawings and models. Support the fabrication and erection teams with technical clarifications.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 2 Year experience as a Tekla Detailer in a steel structure company. Proficiency in Tekla Structures (modeling, drawing, and report generation). Knowledge of steel fabrication and erection processes. Familiarity with international steel detailing codes and standards (AISC, BS, EN, etc.). Knowledge of Nesting software. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drawings. Ability to work under pressure and deliver within deadlines. Good communication and coordination skills.
