The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various kitchen equipment to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. The Kitchen Equipment Technician will play a crucial role in preventing downtime, minimizing disruptions, and ensuring the safety and functionality of all kitchen appliances.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment such as burners, ovens, grills, fryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, ice machines, dough mixers, dough rollers, coffee machines etc.
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including dates, repairs made, and parts used.
Diagnose and repair malfunctions in kitchen equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to understand and address equipment issues, providing technical support as needed.
Ensure that all kitchen equipment meets safety and quality standards.
Perform quality checks after repairs to guarantee proper functioning and adherence to health and safety regulations.
Respond to emergency repair calls and resolve urgent equipment issues in a timely manner.
Develop contingency plans to address critical equipment failures during peak operational hours.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Kitchen Equipment Technician or similar role in an F&B or hospitality setting.
Technical certification or diploma in equipment maintenance, HVAC, or a related field.
Strong understanding of commercial kitchen equipment and their operational principles.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a commercial kitchen environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical information to non-technical staff.
Having driving license is preferred
