Job Purpose:
To carry out Electrical and Electronics repairs on customer vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools, working across a wide range of Standard Business and Infiniti models, in line with approved standards and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Financials
Achieve assigned targets for Sold Hours, Efficiency, Productivity, and Overall Utilisation.
Strategic Implementation
Perform electrical and electronic subsystem repairs within the defined scope of work using advanced diagnostic tools, standard service procedures, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer guidelines.
Accurately record additional repairs and recommendations using the E-Estimate digital application and update the Team Leader accordingly.
Receive and review repair orders from the Team Leader, ensuring a clear understanding of the scope of work.
Review vehicle service history and identify any applicable recall campaigns.
Carry out authorised repairs as agreed and notify the Team Leader of any additional findings.
Perform software updates on subsystems as per manufacturer recommendations.
Demonstrate strong manual dexterity, technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, and advanced computer skills.
Take full ownership of assigned tasks, working with minimal supervision and demonstrating effective self-management.
Adhere to quality control inspection processes to prevent or rectify workmanship that does not meet required standards.
Customer Journey
Handle customers' vehicles with the utmost care and ensure safe working practices at all times.
Learning & Growth
Maintain a clean and organised work area and ensure both personal and workshop tools are kept in good condition.
Participate in Training Needs Assessments conducted by the Training Academy and continuously enhance technical skills through Standard Business training programmes.
Read and interpret complex documentation, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, repair manuals, and wiring diagrams.
Policies, Procedures and Corporate Governance
For warranty repairs, follow standard guidelines, tag replaced parts appropriately, and submit them to the centralised warranty store.
Carry out recall campaigns (e.g. airbag replacements) in accordance with standard guidelines.
Perform diagnosis and repairs on air-conditioning systems as per standard service procedures.
Ensure full compliance with F1 standards and all applicable guidelines.
Strictly adhere to HSE protocols and SOPs, ensuring proper use of safety equipment for personal safety, equipment safety, and customer vehicle protection.
Educational Qualifications
2-year ITI (NCVT Certificate) or
3-year Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years' experience in an automotive dealership environment.
At least 2 years' experience in an Automotive Electrician role.
Competencies
Physical fitness to carry out repair work (manual dexterity).
Strong computer skills.
