Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled

Technical Specialist

to join our

Biodiversity Department

, focusing on mangrove ecosystems and their role in climate change mitigation. The ideal candidate will lead scientific research, provide technical expertise, and drive conservation and restoration initiatives. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, research acumen, and collaboration with global experts to develop innovative, science-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee scientific research on

mangrove ecosystems

and their impact on

climate change mitigation

. Provide expert technical guidance on

mangrove conservation and restoration projects

. Develop and implement

science-based solutions

for ecosystem preservation. Collaborate with

international experts, research institutions, and stakeholders

to advance biodiversity conservation initiatives. Support the

monitoring and evaluation

of the organization's environmental impact and sustainability efforts. Contribute to

policy recommendations

and advocacy for mangrove ecosystem protection. Utilize

GIS and ecological modeling tools

for habitat assessment and environmental impact analysis (preferred). Prepare

technical reports, presentations, and publications

to disseminate research findings and conservation strategies.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

MSc or PhD in

Marine Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science

, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum

5 years

of applied research experience or technical project management in

biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation, or ecological restoration

.

Technical Expertise:

Deep understanding of

mangrove ecosystems, carbon sequestration processes, and biodiversity conservation

.

Skills:

Strong analytical, research, and project management skills.

Tools:

Proficiency in

GIS and ecological modeling tools

is a plus.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reporting.

Collaboration:

Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and with external experts.

Pay: From AED20,000.00 per month
