The RoleReporting to the relevant Software Team Lead for modeling and simulation, you are primarily responsible to provide reservoir engineering on-site support and project mentoring at client sites and participate in several reservoir modeling project buildings.

Your Impact Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide on-site support and project mentoring at client sites Support the software sales process by handling pre-sales presentations, software demonstrations and follow-up evaluation projects Participate in service projects for reservoir modeling Coordinate the tier 1 support helpdesk and ensure that it meets the Software Service Level Agreement and regional client expectations Be the main provider of email and telephone support and work with the Team Lead for modeling and simulation to ensure that support coverage is maintained throughout normal working hours Ensure that support requests are documented correctly and escalated appropriately when they cannot be resolved by the tier 1 helpdesk Ensure that personnel operating the helpdesk are familiar with the support process and any software tools used in it Organize on-site support visits to fulfil contract agreements. Ensure that the details of customers using support are kept updated in the system and that the correct contacts are communicated with at times of software release and other software news Other duties and tasks as assigned

What You'll Need

First degree in a Petroleum reservoir engineering discipline. Minimum 5 years reservoir engineering technical experience in E&P industry, working for an oil company, services or software company Reservoir experience: Participation in several reservoir modelling or simulation project builds, field development planning projects, assisted history matching and uncertainty analysis, and reservoir fluid characterizations Software ability: Good working knowledge of at least one exploration and production software suite or similar software Client interface: A proven ability to manage customer expectations. High level of English, both verbal and written Excellent communications skills (both written and oral) with the ability to listen and articulate clearly, conveying effective and accurate development plan The ability to take ownership of activities, leads projects, and to ensure successful completion.

Preferred Requirements Previous software development experience in Exploration & Development environment

Health & Safety Ensure effective leadership in HSE, leading by example and setting the direction for a successful health and safety program and creating a foundation for a positive safety culture. Discuss Health and Safety first or at least early on the agenda of every meeting. Ensure effective management of HSE risks and impacts. Report all hazards, incidents and Near Misses in line with the MEA HSE incident policy. Active involvement in the investigation of accidents, near misses, incidents and ill health where required. Conduct all HSE training assigned to you as an employee
