The Technical sales representative is responsible for managing sales activities and deliver on Ingredion\xe2\x80\x99s annual sales budget and strategic plans for an assigned customer portfolio within the Levant region (Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq) and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region countries which includes Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and United Arab Emirates.
Primary functions include
  • Managing an existing portfolio of customers which includes distributors in Lebanon and Jordan.
  • Uncovering and developing new business opportunities within the region in line with company objectives and strategy.
Core Responsibilities:
Business growth \xe2\x80\x93 Deliver business goals for the customer portfolio within the region through:
  • Creating cross-selling opportunities within the existing customer portfolio
  • Winning selected target customers within the region
  • Executing account plans to grow or maintain Ingredion\xe2\x80\x99s sales share at customers
Strategic Account Planning \xe2\x80\x93 Execute on strategic account plans for selected customers.
Price and contract management- Implement competitive pricing to ensure maximum value for Ingredion.
  • Conclude annual contract negotiations on prices, payment and delivery terms.
  • Pricing reflecting value added.
  • Payments in line with agreed terms
Delivery of customer projects - Initiate growth projects with existing and new customers to ensure a profitable conclusion
  • Deliver growth targets through customer projects.
  • Sales growth with differentiated products and IP products.
Resource coordination \xe2\x80\x93 Utilize internal support such as technical service, customer service and marketing to deliver a high level of service and fast-track project delivery for our customers: Create an aligned business team. Efficient use of organizational resource.
Communication with Customers \xe2\x80\x93 Continuously develop and broaden the stakeholder network at customers to drive business development along the customer buying cycle and a positive customer experience across relevant functions and seniority levels.
Communication with internal Stakeholders - Develop an effective working relationship with relevant internal stakeholders in Technical Service, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to lead and/or support efforts in project development, supply planning, debtor management and other activities.
Management of Customer Relationship Management data \xe2\x80\x93 Comply with best practices and company standards for data management and reporting.
Continuous development and learning \xe2\x80\x93 Fully adopt company standards in foundational selling and use available learning opportunities to stay current with new developments in the functional area and the region
Qualified candidates will have:
Mandatory requirements:
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Food Science or other related discipline
  • Solid commercial/sales experience in the food or food ingredient industry
  • Proven Track-Record in Sales and Business Growth e.g. acquiring new customers
  • Understanding of food processes and formulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Commercial Acumen
  • Passionate about sales and account management
  • The role will require regular travel throughout the region to visit customers and other Ingredion sites.
  • Fluent in English
  • Travel within the area will be expected on a regular basis for client visits
  • Travel to Europe for team meetings will also be needed
Desirable requirements:
  • Working knowledge of Specialty Ingredients is desired
  • Understanding of Arabic
