The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting and selling technical products or services, providing pre-sales and post-sales support, and serving as a key liaison between clients and the engineering team. This role combines technical expertise with strong sales skills to deliver solutions that meet client needs and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities in target markets.
Present, promote, and sell technical products/services to existing and prospective customers.
Understand client requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, proposals, and quotations.
Coordinate with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure timely delivery.
Provide pre-sales technical assistance and after-sales support.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with clients.
Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis.
Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and new product developments.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
Proven experience in technical sales or engineering sales (minimum 2-5 years).
Strong knowledge of [specify product/industry, e.g., HVAC, MEP, industrial machinery].
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical clients.
Results-driven with strong business acumen.
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.

Office-based with regular client visits and site inspections.
May require local or regional travel depending on project requirements.
