Leidos is seeking experienced and talented professionals as we look to grow and to work with the US Army, Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command as part of the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities and Sustainment (ALECS) contract. ALECS global, noncommercial services provides life cycle maintenance to a wide variety of mission-critical systems and vehicles for TACOM and TACOM’s customers, to include USSOCOM, USCENTCOM, USEUCOM, USAFRICOM and the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) . ALECS will provide TACOM LCMC and partner organizations with the capability to maintain high readiness rates for selected fleets and users. We expect award in early Fall 2022. Leidos will provide personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and non-personal services necessary to perform program management, inspection, maintenance, supply, training, fielding, and facilities support within the Continental Unites Stated (CONUS) and outside the US (OCONUS). Leidos is seeking a Technical Direction Letters (TDL) / Task Order Manager to join our team in support of these efforts. Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day task order, which may include administration, maintenance, logistics, procurement, staffing/recruitment, budgeting, finances, reporting, and property accountability.
  • Provide Government with a single point of contact for the performance of one or more TDLs based upon size and complexity.
  • Provides advanced knowledge and skills in a specific functional area: Maintenance, Quality, Supply (includes Transportation), Training, or Total Package Fielding.
  • Manage Government technical instructions to complete tasks in the areas of Maintenance, Logistics and Fielding.
  • Meet and interact with Government personnel and client representatives in accordance with the teams and conditions of the TDL.
  • Provide clear leadership, technical direction, and guidance to all task order personnel.
  • Plan and direct TDLs’ initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closing.
  • Be responsible for meeting or exceeding contractually required TDLs.
  • Transparent and timely communications, reports, and regular status meetings with internal team members and with external stakeholders and customers to communicate status on broken systems, status on upgrades, and planning for new initiatives and requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge and tracking of all assets required for the mission.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience. Additional related experience will be acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience supervising or leading team or projects.
  • Experience managing large government operations in the logistics and maintenance fields.
  • Strong asset management knowledge and proven experience.
  • Experience with corrective actions response initiatives as well as root course analysis and planning.
  • Reviews and prepares technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Experience with Preventative Maintenance planning as well as Corrective Maintenance activities.
  • Requires ability to communicate with executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of significant importance to the organization/project.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to clearly articulate key technical concepts and ideas.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment spanning multiple locations and multiple contractors.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and eligible to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
  • Current Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional or PMI Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Preferred areas of commercial or military experience are with light or heavy-duty trucks, tractors, tactical vehicles, generators, power plants, aircraft or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicle.
  • Maintenance and logistics experience with USSOCOM Family of Special Operations Vehicles (FOSOV).
  • Possess experience with maintenance management on foreign military sales.
