3. JOB PURPOSE: Supervise and coordinate operations and activities on water well rigs to ensure safe and timely completion of allocated drilling, maintenance and repair programs. 4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Job Specific Accountabilities Supervise, direct and co-ordinate the activities of all personnel on assigned water well rig. Perform supervisory functions at the level established by management for the position by regularly visiting operational rigs on site. Direct and supervise drilling, and completion activities on assigned water well rig as required. Ensure that drilling and/or completion programs are adhered to at each step of the operation. Include maintaining close liaison with the immediate supervisor and client representatives to report observations, recommending necessary changes to drilling/completion programs and directing implementation of new instructions or program details where appropriate. Ensure that rigs are operated within their design and operating limits. Exercise general supervision over all maintenance activities on assigned rig to ensure that drilling equipment is in good working condition, directing preventive and/or break down maintenance or repairs as required. Include ensuring that tubular and run in the hole tools are available and regularly input in accordance with established procedures and maintenance schedules. Approve cold work permits for maintenance and repairs activities and oversees shutdown maintenance to ensure appropriate safety measures are taken and rig down time is kept to minimum levels. Enforce safety regulations on assigned rig to ensure timely execution of assigned drilling/completion programs without prejudice to safety of assigned personnel, rig, well or reservoir. Monitor performance of assigned crew to ensure readiness, promotes safety awareness and the practice of good housekeeping on assigned rig. Follow up with Commercial Division for the work orders and PRs and update to line manager Make up the operation time analysis in monthly basis. Plan and supervise rig movement in the field to ensure safety of equipment. Include liaison with assigned Truck pusher on the preparation of rig equipment, availability of necessary heavy-duty vehicles and mobile plant, preparation of new site and cleaning of old site. Communicate with rig move team for safe and timely rig move purpose. Follow up with concern team members the rig truck registration in yearly basis. Ensure that PMS in place for all rigs. Monitor rig operations on daily basis, handle all rig correspondence and request and follow up to ensure smooth and continuous operations. Include liaising with immediate supervisor and Storekeepers to expedite rig requirements of spares and materials, ensuring that water well rig equipment and personnel are up to ADNOC Drilling and client safety standards. Perform regular rig visits and available for 24 hours on call in case of any emergency. Attend and monitor the critical jobs in rig site such as pipe stuck and fishing. Prepare and submit periodic (daily/weekly/monthly) reports covering drilling activities, problems encountered and safety drills. Submit daily drilling report by fax, telephone and/or radio to immediate supervisor. Review and approve the cement report when appropriate and maintains accurate records of all activities carried out on assigned rig. Attend the critical and long rig move. Follow up the process of POB crew attendance sheet, training and medical. Communicate with rigs in daily basis for ensuring smooth operations. Perform relate duties as assigned, such as representing the Company with all parties working on the rig (service personnel, contractors, etc.), coordinating rig moves, reviewing existing work methods and recommending improvement to operations, safety and/or maintenance, keeping abreast of new developments in the drilling field and following up on amendments to company policies and procedures and directing their implementation. To be reported to water well rigs manager. To be responsible for minimum 5 rigs. Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
