The Role:
Ensure necessary arrangement for custom clearance of arrived goods and its delivery to Ooredoo Kuwait warehouse or end user site.
Key Accountabilities and Activities:
- Analysing shipping, freight terms and negotiating with vendor in liaise with company standard.
- Freight arrangement (import + export).
- Supervise and make necessary arrangement for custom clearance of arrived goods and its delivery to Ooredoo Kuwait warehouse or end user site.
- Manages complete logistics solution for special projects/contracts/promotions.
- Make sure of proper and in time collection of shipping documents from vendor or freight and airlines agent for imported shipment.
- Preparation of paper works which is required by Kuwait custom.
- Liaise renewal of all licenses and renewal of authorized paper works for Kuwait custom requirement.
- Arrange ministerial approvals for imports and export shipments if require.
- Manage container and cargo management operation.
- Exercise control over loading unloading and prompt release of shipment from custom to avoid demurrage or detention charges.
- Loaded, bound and arrange the pallets, labelled and transport into the warehouse.
- Check the quality of packing, marking and labelling is done correctly.
- Inform requisition divisions and all other concern for shipment arrival.
- Return damage goods or non-shown goods in purchase order or wrong item which not match with purchase order terms to international vendor.
- Manage RMA shipment.
- Manage warranty repair and replacement with international vendors.
- Follow up with vendor for order delivery till order completion.
- Arrangement of necessary transport, labour, tools, forklift etc. to complete safe delivery at end user, warehouse or site.
- Manage material to operation for day to day goods requirement.
- Report day to day business to department manager.
- Seek regular guide line from manager for work improvement and its timely completion.
- Adhere the company policy and procedure and good communication and coordination among the team member and Ooredoo Kuwait staff.Maintenance of optimum stocks and reports
- Monitor and report obsolete, slow moving stocks, value of stock, opening and closing values.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, preferably in supply chain management , business or engineering
Other Information:
- Minimum of 2- 3 years of materials management experience in related fields
- At least 2 years managing direct reports
- Warehouse stock room experience highly preferredMS Office
- Computer literacy and a good knowledge of standard office software.
- PC Literate and Excellent analytical abilities
- Proficient in the use of ERP Solutions Systems
- Able to develop , monitor through KPI\xe2\x80\x99s and set goals for improvements
- Able to manage team members and bring them to work as a cohesive team
