As a Team Leader in our fine dining establishment, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of the front-of-house team. Your primary responsibility is to lead and inspire the staff, creating a positive and collaborative work environment. You will contribute to the overall success of the restaurant by overseeing daily operations, managing the team, and delivering exceptional customer service. Provide visionary leadership to the waitstaff and hostesses, fostering a positive, collaborative team environment. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate expectations, updates, and gather feedback, ensuring alignment with the restaurant\'s vision. Lead by example, exhibiting professionalism, dedication, and a strong work ethic, inspiring the team to deliver exceptional service. Conduct comprehensive training sessions for new hires, ensuring a thorough understanding of service standards, communication skills, and customer-centric approaches. Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for staff to enhance their leadership skills and elevate the overall customer experience. Implement cross-training initiatives to broaden skill sets within the team and facilitate seamless operations. Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and maintaining high standards of hospitality. Strategically allocate staff during peak hours, overseeing the team\'s efficiency and optimizing the customer experience. Address and resolve operational challenges promptly, emphasizing quick and effective solutions. Actively engage with guests, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience. Model personalized interactions and elevate customer satisfaction by responding to guest feedback and concerns with professionalism and empathy. Instill a customer-centric mindset within the team, emphasizing the importance of exceeding guest expectations. Proactively identify and address conflicts or interpersonal issues within the team, fostering a harmonious work environment. Educate the team on sustainability initiatives and ensure their active participation, appealing to environmentally conscious customers. Oversee the reservation system, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of bookings, special requests, and seating arrangements. Collaborate with the hostess team to optimize table turnover, creating a seamless flow of service that enhances the customer experience. Conduct performance evaluations for waiters and hostesses, providing constructive feedback and recognizing achievements in the context of customer service excellence. Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager/Supervisor on performance improvement plans when necessary, ensuring alignment with customer-centric goals. Maintain open and transparent communication with the kitchen, bar staff, and other departments to ensure seamless operations. Collaborate with colleagues to address challenges, optimize service efficiency, and enhance the overall dining experience. Ensure that the waitstaff and hostesses adhere to uniform and grooming standards, presenting a polished and professional appearance that reflects a commitment to customer satisfaction. Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations and creating a safe environment for both guests and staff. Conduct regular safety training sessions and emergency drills, prioritizing the well-being of both customers and team members. Monitor and manage inventory for front-of-house supplies, including menus, stationery, and other essential items, ensuring readiness to meet customer needs. Collaborate with relevant departments to optimize inventory levels and prevent shortages, contributing to a seamless customer experience. Encourage and train the team in upselling techniques, promoting special dishes, beverages, and loyalty programs to enhance the customer experience. Collaborate with the marketing team to implement promotions effectively, aligning with customer preferences and interests. Actively seek opportunities for innovation and improvement in restaurant operations, contributing ideas to enhance the overall guest experience. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, inspiring the team to identify and implement customer-centric enhancements. Oversee and enforce stringent cleaning protocols to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the restaurant. Collaborate with cleaning staff to ensure a pristine environment, creating a positive and hygienic dining atmosphere for customers.
