About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team leader - Civil/Mechanical to join our team in a pre-opening luxury hotel. As the Team leader - HVAC, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all engineering and maintenance activities during the pre-opening phase. You will oversee a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards and in compliance with safety regulations.

Role Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and supervise all engineering and maintenance activities during the pre-opening phase, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to quality standards.
• Manage and lead a team of engineers, technicians, and other staff members, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the optimal functioning of all hotel systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as construction, procurement, and design, to ensure seamless integration of engineering requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections of all hotel areas, identifying and addressing any issues related to safety, functionality, or aesthetics.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment necessary for the efficient operation of the hotel.
• Liaise with external contractors and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely completion of outsourced projects.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including documentation of equipment, warranties, and service agreements.
• Stay updated with industry best practices and new technologies, recommending innovative solutions for improved efficiency and cost savings.

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Team leader - Civil/Mechanical or similar role in a luxury hotel or upscale property.
• Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Knowledge of local safety regulations and building codes.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and maintenance management systems.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
