An exciting opportunity for a candidate with a solid background in finance and accounting to join our Finance Department in our Dubai branch.
As a Controlling expert with an accounting background, you will be responsible to oversee the financial and business controlling transactions related to the Gross Profit of the whole MENA Region. These responsibilities include financial controlling in general, conducting month-end TMS reconciliations procedures, reviewing business gross profit, and acting as a business partner to the Country Business Controllers, Local CFOs, CMDs, and RCFOs.
A successful Controlling Lead combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and business operations to analyze forecasts, budgets, and actuals.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Acts as a point of contact from the MENA Regional Shared Service Centre (RSSC) of all the country Business Controllers, Local CFOs, and CMDs for all the Gross Profit related transactions.
Supports Operations and Management in decision-making.
Controlling of reported data, including checks for consistency, completeness, and trivial errors.
Conducts monthly TMS Reconciliation for all the entities in the Region along with the Country Business Controllers.
Ensures all TMS Gross Profit is in line with SAP and gives high-level GP Comments for the month Flash Reports.
Provides month-end WIP and Cost Accruals JV to be posted in SAP ERP.
Supporting the Local Finance in implementing new controlling procedures adopted by the Group.
Check and Report any Suspicious Transaction / Material Deviation.
Monitors monthly Jobs Bulk Closing for Non-closed shipments especially those with JRRD of the Current month + 5 months and ensures closing as per DSV Global KPI.
Review the aging of WIP and Cost accruals and ensures that job files have correct accruals and job profit.
Collects Monthly Credit Notes Summary along with the CMD signoffs.
Monitoring of unbooked Intercompany Invoices and eliminating Intercompany Force Payments and Force Crediting.
Review and follow-ups on Operational KPIs.
Updates the A&S Daily Gross Profit report adjustments in SharePoint and performs daily checking of unusual Job Profits.
Provides weekly A&S Run Off Analysis report to the countries.
Prepares weekly AP Debit Balances Risk Assessment Report.
Provides account schedules and reconciliation files for Outlay accounts, Cross Period, and Consol apportionment.
Reconciles Interoffice accounts of all the entities in the Region.
Monitors weekly Job Loss Files.
Update Finance Cost on a Quarterly basis.
Maintains SOP for all the GP Financial Controlling Tasks
Qualifications & Characteristics:
6-8 years\' Experience as working as an Accountant in a Multinational company
Bachelor or preferable Master\'s in finance
Very Strong Accounting knowledge
Transport and Logistics Experience would be beneficial
Work with all internal teams
High standard of accuracy and attention to detail
Teamwork and flexibility are important aspects of the role
Strong organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and preferable Arabic
