Roles & Responsibilities:

• Take a primary role in ensuring readiness for corporate tax implementation in the UAE for all Reckitt UAE entities;
• Ensure tax compliance for all Reckitt Middle Eastern entities across corporate tax, withholding tax, transfer pricing and value added tax (\xe2\x80\x9cVAT\xe2\x80\x9d);
• Managing in-country effective tax rate (\xe2\x80\x9cETR\xe2\x80\x9d), completing tax risk assessments of new initiatives and exploring tax opportunities;
• Keeping abreast of tax technical developments across the Middle East region;
• Maintain completeness and accuracy in the reporting of current and deferred tax balances for all Reckitt Middle East entities;
• Provide support to the International Tax Senior Manager on tax planning, M&A and controversy for the Middle East region, including local tax audits and negotiation;
• Work actively with the CHQ Indirect Tax team on identification of VAT risks, areas of opportunity and VAT compliance and reporting;
• Support the CHQ Transfer Pricing team by identifying and escalating transfer pricing risks; and
• Cultivate strong relationships with international stakeholders, including Financial Controllers, Finance Directors and CHQ functions, as well as with external stakeholders, such as tax advisors and fiscal authorities.

Skills & Competencies:

• Accountancy qualification - Chartered Accountant and / or Tax Qualified - essential
• Direct and indirect tax experience - essential
• Exposure to commercial environment - essential
• Middle East tax experience - desirable
• VAT experience in relation to cross-border supplies of goods - desirable
• Experience in managing transfer pricing matters and tax audits - desirable
• Confident and robust under pressure
• A team player
• Proactive self-starter
• Highly organized with ability to prioritize
• Professional approach and self-confident - able to win confidence and deal with a wide range of customers
• The business language in Reckitt is English, therefore fluency in English is essential
• Flexible to travel, if required
